Cristina’s love for beautiful design began early in her childhood. Born in Rome, her encouraging parents sent her to art school in Italy at 13, where classical art and timeless romance of the culture influenced and formed her love for rich, decorative and ornamental patterns.

Pursuing her artistic interests through study she graduated with a Bachelor of Art with Honours in Design at Swinburne University. While at University she also studied photography and worked at a wedding and portrait photography studio. Upon graduation, her own studio was created and she became one of the first female photographers in Australia - winning numerous prestigious photography awards.

Combining her photographic skills with illustration and design, she tailored wedding packages for her clients, customising stationery, invitations through to the wedding album. Here, she discovered a niche in the market for quality, designer invites and supporting stationary items. It was at this time; Cristina began producing do-it-yourself stationery featuring her hand-illustrated patterns. Using her unique eye for style and colour, the designs evolved into the largest range of mix-and-match fashionable themes available in the world, which could be tailored for special events and endless creative projects. Furthermore, the papers could be coordinated with an array of envelopes, wallets and sparkling embellishments to create stunning and original layered effects with a fashionable twist. 

Cristina was the original founder of the DIY stationery concept, and has sold millions of sheets of paper around the world, paving the way as the leader of the craft and paper industry. It is through this product that Cristina has created the opportunity for hundreds of women to run home businesses offering tailored invitation services, providing the platform to build successful creative careers.

It comes as no surprise that Cristina has been offered numerous licensing and collaborative deals with leading stationery and craft companies in the trade who recognize the true value of her brand. From fashion stationery, home office, to scrapbooking, Cristina’s signature products can be found in every major retailer around the country.

Over the last few years, Cristina has been driven to translate her fashionable patterns on to lifestyle products and her vision is now represented across a diverse product range. Identifying a niche in the market place for high quality inexpensive tableware, and as a reflection of her love for all things celebratory and decorative, Cristina has been busy focusing on her ranges into designer teaware, and in particular, the area of High Tea. Her exclusive teaware collections are the largest and most comprehensive range in Australia, and include an array of coloured and patterned vintage inspired fine china, all trimmed in 24 carat gold.

After 15 years of building the brand, Cristina’s dream was to open a special concept store that would showcase her products and provide a unique and beautiful destination to take women on a journey of the senses, from fashion to food.

Where A Girl Goes Store launched in 2009. The store was the first of its kind at the time, featuring an elegant and stylish French-style high tea salon showcasing her extensive product range. Within the store, gourmet tea blends and an array of decadent sweet treats were offered, just as those you might find in a patisserie in Paris or Rome. Known for its exquisite French style macarons, delicious delicate pastel cupcakes and savoury delights, every High Tea was served on her signature teaware. The salon was a place that brought women together to celebrate friendship, food, fashion and femininity. A space for women to feel spiritually uplifted, manifest creativity and celebrate well-being. Over the years, the store developed a growing reputation for excellence in good food, customer service, and beautiful atmosphere. Attracting a large following of fans, it has now become an internationally renowned iconic tourist destination.

In June 2015, Cristina successfully opened her first stand alone High Tea Salon and Boutique in Chengdu, China featuring high end architecture and beautiful interior design and boasts pure luxury.

Featuring white marble floors, bronze and copper fit outs, bespoke white leather furniture and an opulent outdoor courtyard invoking the sensation of indoor/outdoor living perfect for the warmer climate. Cristina’s trademark aesthetic of creating a luxurious and indulgent high tea experience has been extended within the store to include a full à la carte menu prepared by a well known international chef from Hong Kong featuring a fusion of Eastern and Western delicacies with organic produce sourced from the finest countries in the world including Australia. Cocktails and champagne are also offered.  

This Cristina Re store in Taikoo Li is the first in an exciting multifaceted retail strategy planned for China along with further expansion throughout Asia in the coming 12-24 months.

The Cristina Re range boasts over 500 products of the highest quality which are sold to over 1000 stores around Australia and the world. Her company continues expanding with store openings in China, new products, website exclusives and high calibre collaborations to name a few! has sold in excess of $5o million in product sales over the last two decades.
